Michael J. Ells

Mike’s mandate at Lantern Partners is to enhance the speed of assignment execution as well as support the proactive knowledge development efforts of the firm.

Prior to joining Lantern Partners in 2004, he spent eight years with Egon Zehnder International working in a variety of research and management roles. Most recently he was the Manager of US Data Quality and Process; prior to that he served as the Director of Research for the Chicago office. Throughout his career, Mike has led research efforts on a variety of cross-industry senior level engagements.

His diverse experiences have helped him build a cohesive research toolkit and a systemic knowledge management process that supports all of Lantern Partners’ search efforts.

Mike has both a BA in Communication Studies and an MA in Library and Information Studies from Northern Illinois University. In his off hours, Mike finds inspiration playing with his sons, listening to Jerry Garcia and searching for the perfect pad kee mao.
