Richard G. Hypes, Jr.

Rick employs his considerable experience in both the executive search and financial services industries to recruit key individuals to businesses facing dynamic change.

He has 19 years of senior-level retained search experience, having entered the executive search business in 1988 when he joined Lynch Miller Moore, a preeminent boutique in Chicago. When the firm was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles, he worked as a Senior Partner in the CFO, Global Financial Services, and Private Equity group practices. He has leveraged his financial and capital markets expertise and developed a multi-industry practice with an emphasis on financial services organizations and asset management groups, and on businesses facing dynamic challenges such as those associated with significant growth, turnarounds, or leverage. In addition to public companies and privately held clients, he works closely with investor groups on both principal and portfolio projects.

Following business school he served 12 years with the investment banking firms of Morgan Stanley and Salomon Brothers, where he worked exclusively with corporate CFOs and Treasurers on an array of capital markets and balance sheet topics.

Rick has an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Denison University. He enjoys fly fishing almost as much as he enjoys a good practical joke.
