Lantern Partners selected to recruit the Chief Information Officer for Cook County Government
CHICAGO – Lantern Partners, a retained senior executive recruiting firm, is currently recruiting a Chief Information Officer (CIO) for its pro bono client, the Cook County Government.
The firm is not only looking for those who meet the job description requirements, but also for those who have experience in public service or are in the public or corporate sector and are interested in giving back to the Cook County area.
As CIO, the hired person will lead the Cook County Bureau of Technology, whose goal is to meet the needs of the county’s residents and businesses for simple, responsive, transparent, and cost-effective government. The Bureau serves 5.3 million people with a total operating budget of approximately $26 million per year.
Lantern Partners was recommended to the Cook County Government by Civic Consulting Alliance, a not-for-profit consulting firm that partners with business experts to help government agencies address projects that wouldn’t otherwise get attention due to constraints of capacity, time, budget, or expertise.
Lantern Partners has worked with Civic Consulting Alliance on a pro bono basis for the past year. In that time, the executive recruitment firm has assisted on the placements of the Chief of Staff for the City Colleges of Chicago and the Controller for the Chicago Public School System.
