Timothy F. Donohue, Jr.

Tim has spent over a decade focused on recruiting CEOs and their direct reports for leading private equity and venture-backed companies in the technology industry. He helps enterprise infrastructure, security, SaaS, ecommerce, consumer technology, and fintech organizations find the executive leadership they need to succeed in such a dynamic landscape.

Prior to joining Lantern Partners, he was a principal with Polachi, a Boston-based retained executive search firm where he provided recruiting services to software, consumer digital, cleantech and other technology clients, both private and public.

Earlier in his career Tim worked for a design/build engineering firm that focused on demand-side management for industrial and commercial customers. He helped open their Chicago office and establish the company’s presence in the Midwest. The company was acquired in 2011.

Tim graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of the track and field team.

Tim and his wife, Betsey, have three young children and live outside of Chicago. He enjoys dedicating his time to the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, which provides four-year high school scholarships and educational support Chicago students from under-resourced neighborhoods who demonstrate outstanding academic potential, leadership skills and strong character.

In his free time, Tim enjoys golf, paddle, and fly fishing – all three of which could use more practice. Originally from Massachusetts, Tim is a lifelong, unapologetic Boston sports fan.
